In Full Bloom

IN FULL BLOOM

I loved these bowls!- their shape, their size and their substance, however, something was needed to compliment their already appealing form.

As soon as I saw them I knew a splash of colour would do a world of difference. Expressive colours and flowers in bloom added a folk flavour to this set of originally stainless steel bowls. A zesty palette of colours ranging from aqua blue to fiery red contrast against the metallic interior.

This ornamental set of bowls will add a richness and vibrancy to any space and their purpose is only limited by your imagination!

To compliment this cute set of bowls a matching set of plates is also available.

Scarlet Gypsy

SCARLET GYPSY

A very difficult piece...I had no idea how to transform this very plain retro looking sideboard into anything remotely interesting. All I knew is that I wanted to add warmth and vibrancy and to give it a bohemian feel.

Painting the piece a crimson red brought it to life however it still lacked depth. Using floral stencils and a deeper red brought much more to this piece and helped to achieve the look I was after.

Scarlet Gypsy would most suit someone who is daring and adventurous with their interiors. Someone who isn't afraid to showcase a unique piece in their space and who is drawn to an eclectic and bohemian feel in their surrounds.

Scarlet Gypsy is not boring or safe.  She is bold, inviting and celebratory.

Chic Blanc

CHIC BLANC

I grew up with this piece of furniture and I always loved it's simplicity and style. Originally it had it's natural dark wood colour but after a few years I felt it needed a revamp. I painted it a mint green which was sanded back for a distressed look. For many years it suited our decor but after a while I felt it needed to be refreshed. I decided to go for the shabby chic look.

The buffet was painted a crisp white to give it a freshness and to neutralise it so it was well suited to any environment. The soft sanding of this solid piece helped develop it's shabby chic character and more relaxed feel. It's functionality is diverse and fulfills many purposes with its various drawers, shelves and lockable doors. It's features allow for much storage and versatility.

This sturdy buffet would make a nice addition to any any living room or dinning area. It would not be out of place in a richly furnished and well lived home.
